You can rush a level with the Zoren's copter, and use the Latron for when it would be wasteful to close the gap. This combination of speed (coptering) and range makes you a very efficient player. The Latron can also take down things like Cameras, Toxic Ancients, Turrets, and flying enemies pretty easily, something melee struggles to achieve. You can simply copter away and use the Latron from a much safer distance, while you wait for shields to regenerate, or for your team to show up. Once the heavies start showing up, you might start taking heavy damage, and may be running out of Energy for Hysteria spam. Melee is very usable for "trash" mobs, and can get rid of them very quickly with slide attacks. Latron Prime, in my experience, works as a nice complement to a fast melee (Zoren, Ichors). The Galatine can still fit this role as a weapon that can potentially easily one shot heavy targets. The Zorens will allow you to move across the map quickly and effectively, and so will the Scoliac and Amphis. Relying on Valkyr as a "tank" and not really a "melee tank?" If you use your melee sparingly, consider utility. The way to make the Zoren match the single-target damage output of the Galatine is with True Steel and Organ Shatter, giving you more frequent and much more damaging crits.
#Valkyrie histera warframe mod#
Pair this with the Fury mod and the Warcry ability to make this even more apparent. They are naturally much faster than heavy weapons. I can't say anything about DPS, as I haven't checked the numbers, but they will power through crowds quickly and effectively.
If you rely on melee significantly (without being in Hysteria most of the time), I'd go the route of Dual Ichors/Zoren. If you want to do this, the primary and secondary you choose honestly have little significance. If you build your Valkyr to spam Hysteria, I'd go with the Galatine, as Hysteria will benefit from a higher base damage. The choice between Galatine/Scindo Prime and Dual Ichors/Zoren really depends on how much you plan to use your melee outside of Hysteria.
